Dear GGC members

We all like to refer to our Club as “The best members club in SA”. And I think we were in fact awarded the title some years ago. Does it still ring true in 2023, or is it something that we cling onto without being based in fact or at least popular outside opinion? It is easy to say and even believe “I am the best”, but it only really matters when others say that about you.

Dear GGC members,

I will keep it short this week, or as it has become known, SONA week. If we had to do a “State of the Club Address”, I am happy to say that it won’t contain any empty promises, half-truths and dire looks into our finances and other areas. Though, it would be nice to pitch up to a red carpet in expensive evening wear, getting out of a black limousine. Not that our general manager would allow such wasteful expenditure with members’ funds!
