It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of a long-standing member of the George Golf, Michael Hargreaves. Mike will be missed by many. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

Following on from last week's newsletter about Links golf, I can share with you that one of our own in Dougie McGuigan came T4th at the Senior PGA Championship that was held at Trump International Golf Links in Scotland this past weekend.

I can’t believe that we are almost into August already, and I am looking forward to longer, dryer and warmer days. The Clubhouse upgrade is nearing completion and I am also looking forward to that being complete so we can enjoy all the facilities of the club.

As you would have seen if you were at the club, maintenance is in full swing in the clubhouse. If I could ask that we please respect the builders and their workers and try to avoid these areas as much as possible.
